The NRM Data Library Portal is a key output of the NRM Data Library, Data
Management and Support Services Project (Data Library Project).
The Data Library Project is a statewide NHT project to support the
access, capture and management of data and information for natural resource
management decision making. DPIPWE and the Tasmanian NRM Regions have
developed this project to address the need for regional data and information
management capacity, to be able to capture and access data and information
from past and for future NRM activities. This project was funded jointly by
the Australian Government Natural Heritage Trust and the Tasmanian State
Government.
The NRM Data Library Portal has been developed with the ongoing support
of the Tasmanian NRM Regions and the Tasmanian Government Department of
Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment. DPIPWE is providing the IT infrastructure and
associated hardware and software to support the development and ongoing
management of the site. A range of data custodians and staff within DPIPWE
has also provided assistance and advice in the development of the NRM Data
Library Portal.
